INNER AWAKENING
Inner Awakening: One-day Himalayan Kundalini Yoga Intensive
with a Master Teacher from India
Step into a full-day Yoga intensive dedicated to inner awakening through the ancient practices of Himalayan Kundalini Kriya Yoga. This workshop welcomes people and practitioners from all-levels.
For the second time in the Netherlands, Himalayan yogic master Shailendra Singh Negi travels from Rishikesh to share the timeless teachings of the Himalayan tradition.
This intensive introduces the science of Kundalini Tantra - considered one of the highest forms of yogic wisdom. A path that teaches you how to reconnect with Shakti: your inner vitality, awareness and life force energy.
Through kundalini kriya yoga, pranayama (breathwork), mantra, meditation and yogic stillness, you will learn how to:
-
purify the mind and energy body
-
release mental and physical stress/ (hyper)tension
-
regulate the nervous system
-
restore emotional balance
-
reconnect to a deeper state of inner clarity and presence
This is not yoga as exercise or performance.
It is Yoga in its traditional essence: a complete inner science for awakening consciousness and bringing harmony into daily life.
More than a workshop, this is a rare opportunity to experience authentic yoga teachings directly from the source - the Himalayan tradition.
WHAT IS INNER AWAKENING?
Inner awakening is the process of becoming more aware of your inner world - your mind, energy, emotions and deeper consciousness. Ultimately grounding your awareness through the help of traditional yogic practices.
In yogic tradition, true well-being begins when the mind becomes clear, the nervous system balanced, and energy flows freely through the body, free from blockages.
The Himalayan Kundalini system combines:
-
understanding the different layers of human existence,
-
awareness of the chakra (energy) system and its role in daily life,
-
and practical yogic tools to awaken and balance inner energy.
These teachings help bridge ancient wisdom with modern life in a grounded and practical way.

About your teacher
Shailendra Singh Negi is a lifelong practitioner and teacher of traditional yoga, with over 25 years of experience. Based in Rishikesh, India he founded the Vedic Yoga Centre. Sincere practitioners from all over the world come to train with him and deepen their practice. Rather than promoting a single style, his teachings arise from lived experience and the timeless wisdom of the Vedic traditions—guiding students toward inner stillness, energy awareness, and heartfelt devotion. Shailendra’s motivation is to inspire his students to take responsibility for their own spiritual journey and take conscious steps for their overall health and well-being. He does not practice or teach one specific style of yoga; nor does he set out to impress; his aim is to pass on the ways in which genuine seekers of peace and tranquility can achieve this much sought after goal, through determination and dedicated practice. The content of his spontaneous philosophy classes cannot be read in books, as his teachings are integrated from his own personal experience as well as communing with sages whose knowledge has been passed down through generations from the traditional Vedic scriptures. The main focus of Shailendra’s teachings is to make us aware of our inner spiritual roots, and how to reach them through the practices of asana (movements and postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), samyak kriya (yoga practice to gain awareness of one’s inner life-force), meditation, Ayurvedic therapy, and mantra chanting. Shailendra teaches that while these different practices work in alternative ways, the purpose of each one is the same – to help us awaken our inner consciousness and attain stillness so that we can live mindfully, in the moment, and attune ourselves to our inner world. Shailendra’s teachings are also devotionally oriented, educating us in learning how to serve, love and surrender – three characteristics of a truly yogic lifestyle. Students come to Shailendra not just from all over India but from many other parts of the world, including China, Taiwan, Israel, Canada, USA, Russia, Australia, and also from various European, Eastern European and some African countries. Shailendra travels the world throughout the year (when he is able) to share his traditional style of yoga, but he is based at the Vedic Yoga Centre for much of the time and holds daily yoga classes there. Come and be inspired by his experience.
